Learning A-Z makes it easy to teach and even more fun to learn! Tryna King, an Account Executive, shows how the professional development available within our products helps teachers confidently deliver instruction and access guided help resources.
Hi, I'm Tryna, an account executive at Learning A-Z. Today, I'm going to walk you through the Professional Development available within our products. Starting in Kids A-Z, we'll log into the teacher-facing side of the site by clicking the Teacher button at the top right of the page, then log in with your username and password. Here you'll see the Student Management homepage. Located at the top right of the dashboard, click the yellow button titled Guided Help. This will walk us through Learning A-Z's features step by step. This makes the Guided Help button your best friend on our website. For a quick example, let's learn how to delete a student from your roster. First, click Roster Students. Then select Delete Students. Look at that! Our friend is telling us to click My Classroom. We'll follow its lead and then click Class Roster. Then select the X icon to remove the student from our class. With just a click, the student has been removed. This process is really this easy no matter what Guided Help feature you want to explore. In Foundations A-Z and Writing A-Z, Professional Development has its own library. Once you've arrived at the Foundations A-Z homepage, click on the hamburger menu at the top left of the page. Then select Professional Development to view our very own Library of Alexandria ... well, if the Library of Alexandria was filled with video, audio and articles on Professional Development.
Our Professional Development is also built into the lesson plans themselves. Let's go ahead and click that same hamburger menu again, then select Lesson Plans. Let's say we'll need some help with Unit 2 in our grade 2 class, so simply select grade 2 in the drop-down menu. You will see Unit 2's Professional Development icon on the right. Select this icon, and it will bring us to Professional Development resources that focus on Unit 2.
All right. Let's switch gears like a race car driver and speed on over to Raz-Plus homepage. Scroll down to find Professional Development under the Instructional Support section. This area includes a video library, live and recorded webinars and a break room with articles relating to the latest topics in education. Just like Foundations A-Z, Raz-Plus also has Professional Development embedded within its resources. For an example of this, we'll scroll back to the top of the page and click on the Resources tab, hover over Focused Instruction and select Close Read Passages in the Literacy Skills section. These two yellow buttons at the top of the page that read Overview and Tips will give you a deeper dive into your desired resource. If we want to learn more about a specific resource, we'll need to take one more lap in our race. Click the Resources tab again and go to Foundational Skills instruction. Then click on High-Frequency Words Books. Finally, click on the blue More About High-Frequency Words Books to learn about all the ins and outs of the high-frequency words books. This button is available on all resource landing pages, so more information is always just a click away. Now the finish line is just up ahead. For a more in-depth look at our Professional Development offerings, view one of our live public webinars to learn more. Wow, you definitely came in first in our race today!
